✦ Our Story

About PassSnap

We built PassSnap because getting a simple passport photo should not cost you ₹200–₹500 at a studio. It should be free, fast, and private.

Why I Built This

Hi, I'm Amol. I'm a humanities student based in New Delhi, and like many people, I once had to rush to a photo studio just to get a passport photo made — only to pay ₹300 for something that took the photographer 5 minutes.

That frustrated me. The internet already has all the tools needed to do this for free. So I decided to build PassSnap — a completely free, privacy-first passport and profile photo maker that runs entirely in your browser.

No server, no account, no fee. Just upload your photo, pick your size, and download. That's it.

"My mission is simple: make a professional-quality passport photo tool that every student, traveler, and job seeker in India — and the world — can use for free, forever."

What Makes PassSnap Different

  • 100% free — no watermarks, no hidden plans, no upsells
  • Privacy-first — your photos never leave your device, ever
  • Works everywhere — passport photos, visa photos, social media profiles
  • Built for India — with formats for Indian passport, Schengen visa, UAE, Saudi, and more
  • No technical knowledge needed — anyone can use it in under a minute

About Me

I'm currently pursuing my studies in humanities and arts and science at a college in Delhi. Building PassSnap is my way of combining my interest in technology with a real problem I've experienced myself.

I built this entire website myself — from the design to the code — with the goal of helping students, travelers, and working professionals save money on something as simple as a passport photo.

If PassSnap helped you, please share it with someone who could use it. That's the best support you can give.
